About me
Andrew Buck is a Senior Urban Planner and Technologist at VHB, specializing in sustainable and equitable cities. With over 10 years of experience in Asia and North America, Andrew integrates data and technology into planning and design, facilitating diverse teams to develop lasting solutions. Andrew has helped clients prepare and adapt to climate change, such as developing the Suffolk County Resiliency Explorer to identify climate vulnerable coastal assets along Eastern Long Island and transforming Pinellas County’s (Florida) Sustainability and Resiliency Action Plan into an interactive web-based Story Map. He also has experience utilizing model-based design and reality capture technologies for projects such as visualizing coastal vulnerability and opportunities for adaptation interventions for Historic Jamestown, Virginia. Prior to joining VHB, Andrew served as a Campus Planner for USMA West Point and worked with both AECOM and Turenscape in China on climate resiliency and sustainable development projects. Andrew is a leader in VHB’s Digital Twin initiative and is a Co-Chair for the APA NYM Technology Committee and active member of the APA National Technology Division.
